Thursday, February 25, 2010

Dear Sisters,

There are many fun sporting events planned for this year for all women, men and youth in our South Mountain Stake! President Monson wants to use sports as part of the Rescue to fellowship and bring "fun" into the Church. Our Stake Presidency supports this new effort. We are excited to get playing with you.

There will be a Stake Basketball Tournament for ALL women in the Stake from March 13-20, 2010. The winning teams will advance to the Jordan Coordinating Council Women's Basketball Tournament. If you would like to participate in this event, please contact a member of your ward R.S. presidency.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks,

Jodie Cahoon

For more information about the new sports program,
Last Sunday's lesson was beautifully taught by Sister Struiksma.
It's not too late to read the lesson, if you missed it:

And don't forget, this Sunday is our Ward Conference. Priesthood and Relief Society will be combined with a lesson presented by our stake presidency. We look forward to seeing you there!

With love,
